Christer Tornell
begynte som kunstløper og fikk plass på
det svenske landslaget 1983-85.Han har utdannelse fra Ballettakademiet
og Dansforum i Gøteborg. Han har danset i
en rekke musikaler som
"Cats",
"West Side Story",
"A Chorus Line",
"Sugar",
"La cage aux folles"
m.m. i Oslo og Stockholm. Her i Norge har han danset i fire av Oslo
Danse ensembles produksjoner, arbeidet for NRK og TV2 i Eurovisjon Songcontest, Holmenkollkonserten,
"Prinsesse eventyr med prinsesse Martha
Louise og
"100 år med egen
stemme" i forbindelse med 100-årsmarkeringen
av unionsoppløsningen.
Christer Tornell har også arbeidet
med samtidskoreografene Kjersti Alveberg og Sølvi
Edvardsen og turnert med en rekke av deres
verk i Finland, India, Frankrike
og Zimbabwe. Medvirket som dommer i TV produksjonene "Isdans" og "Skal
vi Danse". Han har arbeidet som danser og koreograf for Dans & Toner
fra 2001 - 2013 og vært medprodusent i forestillingene
Munch - en reise i dans, musikk & billedkunst
(2005) og Twisted (2008).

As a figure
skater Christer Tornell won a place with the
Swedish national team 1983 to 1985. His dance education took place at
The Ballet Academy and Dance forum in Gothenburg. In Stockholm he danced
in "Cats", "West Side Story", "A chorus Line", "La cage aux folles". In
Norway, he has performed with Oslo Dance Ensemble and in the
performances "Sugar", "Ungen", "Reisen til Julestjernen", "Frendelaus".
For Norwegian Television he has amongst others performed in the
Eurovision Song Contest and Holmenkoll Concert. He also works with
modern choreographers, such as Kjersti Alveberg and Sølvi Edvardsen.
He has worked at Oslo New Theatre in the
productions "Cabaret", "Chicago", "My Fair Lady" and La Cage aux
Folles. Autumn 2004 he
worked both as dancer and assistant choreographer
in the musical "Billy".
Participated as jugde in the TV productions "Icedance" and "Lets Dance".
