"Munch – en reise i dans, musikk & billedkunst (Munch - a journey through dance, music and pictorial art), takes its inspiration from paintings by Edvard Munch: Solen (The Sun), Galopperende Hest (Galloping Horse), Ung kvinne på Stranden (Young woman on the beach), Melankoli (Melancoly), Løsrivelse (Separation), Stjernenatt (Starry night). Established choreographers representing different styles have made short ballets based on these paintings. Likewise, the composer has taken his inspirations directly from the paintings. Edvard Munchs thoughts is read by an actor. By the use of dance, music and paintings we have created a three dimensional performance, suitable for an audience from the age of 10. So far seen by over 50.000 people all over Norway.  Supported by Fund for performing artists and Danse- og Teatersentrum.

"
This must be experienced far beyond the border of Norway"
Kragerø Avis (newspaper)

“Untraditional artistic experience from Dans & Toner. The composer, choreographers,
musician and dancers have created a performance where one sees lines and can imagine the
continuing stories in the pictures of Munch, and at the same time gives us room to
use our own imagination. This was beautiful!”
Telemarkavisen

"This was one of the most successful performances we have seen, not least because of brilliant
direction and presentation, but first and foremost because of exceptionally brilliant artistry from
both dancers and musician - we take our hats of!"
Gloppen school
